  P-40M, variation generally speaking just like the P-40K, with a stretched fuselage like P-40L and powered by an Allison V-1710-81 engine providing better performance at altitude (versus past Allison variations). It had some information improvements therefore was characterized by two tiny air scoops before the exhaust pipelines. Most of them had been provided to Allied countries (mainly UK and USSR), although some others remained in the USA for higher level training.
