The Sikorsky H-34 Choctaw was a helicopter initially designed for the united states Navy for service in anti-submarine warfare (ASW) role. It was developed through the Sikorsky UH-19 Chickasaw. It had been running on a single Wright R-1820-84 radial engine, and might carry 12 to 16 troops, or eight stretcher situations if employed in the MedEvac part. Its a software application transportation helicopter, with no armament on board. The aircraft first flew on March 8, 1954. It was initially designated HSS Seabat by the Navy and HUS Seahorse by the usa Marines and United States Coast Guard. In 1962 all solutions adopted the usa Army designation, H-34 Choctaw.
