The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, commonly known as the "Huey", is a multipurpose armed forces helicopter, originated from 1955 United States Army studies with all the Bell Model 204. The initial designation of HU-1 (helicopter energy) led to its nickname, Huey. It had been first used by the armed forces in 1959 and went into tri-service manufacturing in 1962 since the UH-1. The final had been manufactured in 1976 with an increase of than 16,000 produced in total, that about 7,000 saw use during the Vietnam War and well-known for its used in the Vietnam War.
