Fairchild Aircraft Company began the look of a multi-purpose cargo and troop transportation in 1941. 1st trip for the prototype ended up being made on September 1944.Approximately 1100 planes have been produced before the 1955. Form U.S. Air Force, Italy, Belgium,India, Republic of China and others countries usedthe C-119 traveling Boxcar. Gradually it's been changed by the C-130 Hecules.
