The very first model of this MIG-29 was first flown in 1978. The airplane became functional in 1984. The Soviet Air Force is believed to own an amazing number (about 500 units) operating. Asia and Syria may using Fulcrums. The fighter is armed with one 23 mm rotary cannon plus two R60 Aphid or A-11 close-range anti aircraft missiles and four Apex or AA-10 moderate range missiles.
