Description

The Aermacchi MB-339 was developed as a direct development of MB-326. The MB-339 task was in fact based on the primary aerodynamic faculties of its predecessor, improving the role of higher level army trainer through the redesign regarding the forward fuselage to raise the instruction’s chair and to increase visibility. Thanks to its maneuverability, the good operational flexibility, and the possibility to load an array of weapons in its difficult points underneath the wings, the MB 339 has also been developed to execute light attack and close support duties. The Italian Air Force is the primary individual for the MB-339 as advance trainer plane. Furhter more the MB-339 has been utilized by Argentine Naval Aviation, as light assault fighter, during the Falkland / Malvinas Was in 1982.
