Description

A small grouping of fans was able to fly from Florida to Switzerland with a DC-3 built in 1940 and there it was registered as HB-IRJ. Breitling tried it as advertising help plus the operator is the Super Constellation Flyers Association. On March 12, 1940 the aeroplane ended up being commissioned by American Airlines. Meanwhile, this has accumulated more than 74.000 hours of trip time and remains today in excellent condition. It reached a speed of 250 km/h therefore the aircraft won't have a pressurised cabin. The crew is composed of two pilots and a flight attendant. The DC-3 may also land at airports with a company or lawn runway with a length higher than 1.100 m.
