The Eurofighter task, developed through the second half of 80s by a consortium of European organizations, had the goal of realizing a sophisticated multi-role combat aircraft strongly specialized in interception. The result of the task is the "Typhoon" which one of the better air superiority fighter within the world. Its aerodynamic design is characterized by canard-delta wings. Many Thanks to its two Eurojet EJ200 turbofan machines, the Typhoon has the capacity to achieve a maximum speed of Mach 2. The up to speed technology, improved by fly-by-wire control system, enables to obtain an excellent maneuverability in air combat duties. To commemorate the a century from establishment of Italian Air Force fighter Squadrons in very first World War, the “Gruppi di Volo” have realised in the contemporary Typhoons four captivating commemorative liveries.
