The Northrop Grumman X-47B is an demonstration unmanned combat atmosphere vehicle (UCAV) expressly created and developed to use from the trip decks of this US Navy aircraft providers. The X-47B travelled for the first time last year and has now performed, into the following years, a few functional tests finished in 2015. The X-47B had been used in the test rounds up to speed the U.S.S aircraft provider George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) and it performed take-off, landing, air-refueling duties. To optimize the up to speed capability the X-47B has foldable wings in order to minmise the space on over crowded trip decks of this aircraft carriers. Its designed with a Pratt & Whitney turbofan engine that guarantees subsonic performance and in its two loading bays it could provide an offensive load of over 2,000 kg.
