The Eurofighter project, developed from the second half of the 80s by a consortium of European organizations, had the aim of realizing a sophisticated multi-role combat aircraft highly specialized in interception. The consequence of the project is the "Typhoon" which one of the best air superiority fighters on earth. Its aerodynamic design is characterized by canard-delta wings. As a result of its two EuroJet EJ200 turbofan machines, the Typhoon can achieve a maximum speed of Mach 2. The on-board technology, improved by fly-by-wire control system, enables to acquire a fantastic maneuverability in air combat duties. The British Royal Air Force alongside the atmosphere forces of Germany and Italy, is the main individual of this Eurofighter, with 160 units deployed inside fighter squadrons.
