The 100 years War had been an extended conflict which, at different phases, included the Kingdom of England therefore the Kingdom of France. It began, for genetic reasons, in 1337 and was fought on French territory. It marked a decisive turning point in armed forces strategy and tactics. Through the century War the Heavy French cavalry was the queen of the battlefield. However, since the first stages associated with war, the French military had been defeated by the English Troops, well trained in making use of longbows and infantry, within the battle of Crecy, Poitiers and, in 1415, Azincourt. But from 1429, as a result of the leadership of Joan of Arc during the siege of Orleans, the French troops found again moral and dedication. The 100 years War finished in 1453 because of the almost complete control regarding the Country by the Kingdom of France.
