The AB 40 armoured car had been developed the Italian RoyalArmy in the belated 1930s, to change the old Lancia models. The car was innovative at the time, being a four-wheel drive with separate suspensions and two driving roles. The armoured automobile had been fitted with two 8mm device firearms in turret and another inside backside regarding the hull, but had been just built-in small figures for evaluation purposes, as development of the greater advanced AB 41 was already underway.
