Description

During World War II the German Army must fight frequently fortified roles or urban protection facilities. As a result of tactical explanation - the troops had been at brief distance towards the enemy lines - artillery and air help couldn't be engaged. This resulted in the development of “Sturm” - form of the “Tiger” heavy tank (Italeri N. 6471). On the heavy-duty chassis the efficient and unique 38 cm mortar had been installed, which had a short range but enormous fire energy. Only couple of devices associated with the Sturmtiger were built and were mainly used in 1944 in the Western Front.
