The design intent and execution regarding the Thrust slipper would be to improve the hold degree of the vehicle in many different conditions. It is best utilized in conditions where rear hold needs to be optimized or higher stability becomes necessary under acceleration.

being able to get a handle on the slip by the slipper pads,plates and springs, it causes it to be more consistent than a center diff full of oil.
