Honda competed within the 1964 period using their RA271 device, piloted by the young American driver Ronnie Bucknum. Although the RA271 occassionally revealed a glimpse of its concealed potential, it failed to record any remarkable outcomes. A discouraging period lead Honda to build up an infinitely more integrated F-1 rushing machine. Following the 1964 season, Honda thoroughly enhanced the device and redesignated it the RA272. Its hi-tech and effective, transversely mounted V-12 cylinder motor was said to yield a great 220 plus horsepower.
Richie Ginther joined the group starting the growing season, and his rushing experience aided the group in further refining the RA272. He gained 6th devote the Belgian and Dutch GP's, and lastly won the Mexican triumph on October 24th 1965. Using the lead right after the start, Ginther's RA272 recorded an amazing win, without yielding the utmost effective place throughout the battle. Partner Bucknum also received fifth spot, increasing Honda's racing laurels.
