The Brabham team (engine Racing Developments Ltd) was started by the planet famous rushing driver, Jack Brabham, who in 1966 became 1st man to win a Grand Prix in a car or truck bearing their own name. Jack Brabham won the planet Championship Series in 1966 and Dinny Hulme won the group's 2nd title in 1967. in 1971 the group ended up being absorbed by the present owner, Mr.Bernard Ecclestone, who hired the talented South African disigner, Gordon Murray.
