Towards ZENT Cerumo SC 2006 Toyota Team Cerumo and its driver combination of Toranosuke Takagi and Yuji Tachikawa had been the 2005 Super GT champions and seemed to transport the success over into the 2006 period. Trading in their venerable Supra for the new SC430 battle car developed through the Lexus luxury coupe, the group placed a good fifth place at Round 1 Suzuka. This is in the course of time accompanied by podium finishes, with all the group using first spot at Round 5 Sugo and 3rd spot at Round 7 Motegi.
