Japanese Navy ace Sadaaki Akamatsu had been understood for their many combat exploits and a 1/48 scale representation of his aircraft happens to be added to Tamiya's Masterwork Collection line-up. A comprehensive study of an actual aircraft means every one of the A6M5a's distinctive features are accurately reproduced. This finished model features the markings of aircraft which Akamatsu travelled to intercept American naval aircraft on February seventeenth, 1945.
