Commemorating Ferrari's 40th anniversary, the F40 made its first in July of 1987. The mechanics for the F40 proceed with the standard Ferrari practice of utilizing materials and technology obtained from F1 racing. The F40's mid-ship mounted 2936cc V8 twin turbo charged motor generates 478hp. The F40 features all high-performance of an F1 race vehicle obtained from the circuit and taken to public roadways.
