A lengthy and Glorious History

The 66th Armored Regiment may be the oldest armored product in america Army, with history dating from innauguration of this Tank Service in February 1918. After serving with distinction in France during the First World War, the 66th again saddled up for overseas duty, landing M4 Sherman tanks through the amphibious intrusion of French Morocco in December 1942. The 66th fought through North Africa, and participated in tough fighting during the invasion of Sicily.
