And just what tank could be right compared to the awesome Tiger I?! In a size that sits comfortably in the palm of one's hand, that is a must have for many diorama fanatics and AFV collectors.

For the first tank release there was no searching through the Tiger I. One of probably the most advanced and best engineered WWII tanks, the Tiger I saw action across all fronts and continues to be very popular builds amongst AFV modelers. Lining this beautifully detailed model along with other 1/48 scale WWII vehicles or aircraft and you will feel the real size and refined power of this amazing war device.

  • Concerning the Tiger I
Towards the middle of WWII, the Wehrmacht ended up being pushed on two fronts, dealing with tough combat up against the superior Soviet T34 and KV-I tanks inside East, and retreating facing the Allied offensive in North Africa. But in belated 1942, German devices had been assigned a powerful brand new war device that far surpassed the Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks: the Tiger I. Equipped with the awesome 88mm main gun, 100mm dense armor at the front, 80mm armor regarding the edges, and a 650hp Maybach engine, the Tiger I is widely regarded as probably the most powerful and advanced tank of its time. Henschel produced over 1,300 Tiger I heavy tanks over the war, which range from initial manufacturing to modified belated production models. The more or less 200 models produced from November 1942 to June 1943 are characterized as very early production models. Distinctive options that come with early production Tiger I tanks range from the big cylinder shaped cupola with a smoke discharger and pistol ports in the turret. The Tiger I first saw action contrary to the Soviets near Leningrad, and continued to serve with difference in the Eastern, Western, Italian and African fronts, gaining the fear and respect of its Allied foes.
