Description

Tamiya announces the release of the up-armored KV-1B in our ever-growing 1/48 MM Series. Show it with all the previously released KV-1 to show the differences involving the two, line it with this other Russian automobiles such as the T-34 and GAZ-67B, or pit it against its German adversaries like Tiger we and Panther in battle dioramas.

About the KV-1B Armed with a powerful 76.2mm main weapon and equipped with 75mm frontal armor, the KV-1 tank ended up being an unpleasant surprise for the German military once they invaded Russia in the summer time of 1941. Impervious to the majority of anti-tank firearms, the KV-1 became a solid opponent, however the introduction of more recent, better German tanks lessened its benefit as the war proceeded.
