Description

1943 saw the production of the world's heaviest & most powerful tank of its time, the Jagdtiger. Pro-duced by Henschel, it was in line with the King Tiger's chassis and featured an extended barreled 12.8cm gun which showed great offensive abilities being able to knock down Allied tanks from a great distances. Along with its brand new design, the big sized fixed combat compartment was presented with a 250mm thick front side defensive armament that was unique for this tank. First appearing within Ardennes offensive in December 1944, the Jagdtiger mostly fought against Allied forces in Western Germany from January 1945. Up to April 1945, significantly more than 80 Jagdtigers and another ten with "Porsche turrets" had been produced.
