It had been a workhose with a towing capability of 20 tons, thanks to its extremely dependable 6-cylinder water-cooled engine. Deployed by the German Army, Luftwaffe and Navy, the SS-100 towed all types of subjects: field firearms, aircraft, gas and water tanks, V2 rockets, as well as disabled automobiles, its flexibility and reliability standing it in good stead.
