Concerning the German Panther Type G Later Variation

Because of its numerous advanced level and innovative features, the planet War II German Panzerkampfwagen V, known as the "Panther" tank, remains considered by many ordnance specialists as a weaponry masterpiece. The development of the Panther came to exist because of the successes generated by the Russian T-34, that has become a critical danger towards German forces through the mid part of the conflict. Mass manufacturing for the Panther began through the spring of 1943, along with its sophisticated mechanics and effective Type 42 L70, 70mm main weapon, the Panther tank demonstrated its formidable energy during front line action shortly after its introduction. A few improvements had been suggested after its initial employment, resulting into the Panther Type G, which started to come in spring 1944. Major improvements contains additional side armor slope angles and simplified set up improvements for mass production. Early version style of the G type had a semi-cylindrical primary weapon mantlet which triggered a shot-trap because of its form. Shells were deflected downward through hull or in to the turret causing serious harm. It was improved regarding the belated variation model by adding a vertical lip regarding the lower end for the mantlet.
