After WWI, Germany pushed forward with all the growth of battle tanks under a veil of secrecy. The Panzerkampfwagen II utilized the Panzerkampfwagen I's hull and came armed with a 2cm primary gun. Mass manufacturing started in 1937 and differing improvements including a new suspension had been made. Around 1088 Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf.A-C tanks were manufactured up to April 1940. The Panzerkampfwagen II led the shock attack on Poland and smashed their way throughout European countries. They were later changed by better frontline tanks but were successfully found in reconnaissance missions before end for the war.
