Description
January 20 1940 saw the conclusion of construction for the Japanese Kagero class destroyer. Along with the woman cousin vessels Hatsukaze, Amatukaze, and Tokitukaze, she became part of the sixteenth destroyer division under the demand for the light cruiser Jintsu. At the start of WWII, the sixteenth destroyer division had been area of the force which grabbed the Philippines, and on December 5 1941, she took part in the fierce fighting with American forces near Palau and supported the invading forces at Legazpi. After wards, she saw action throughout the Pacific Ocean at the Dutch East Indies, Midway, Guadalcanal, while the Solomon isles. The Yukikaze also took part in the withdrawal of Guadalcanal,also took part in ocean battles within Marianas and also the Leyte Gulf. Throughout WWII, the Yukikaze participated in many naval battles, escort duties, and supply runs, and always returned safely from each sortie. She was among the few Japanese warships and also the onl yone of the woman course still operational at the end of the war, and may be called the "lucky destroyer." As part of the post-war reparation contract, the Yukikaze was transferred to the Republic of Asia, and in 1966 she became a book training ship.
This is certainly a 1/350 complete display model.
Model illustrates the Yukikaze as she appeared through the 1945 Ten Ichi Go procedure (Battle for Okinawa).
Components included to construct a waterline model or a display model with full hull.
You'll be able to rotate the weapons and torpedoes after assembling thanks to polycaps.
