About the Henschel Hs-123A-1
Developed in 1935, the Henschel Hs-123A-1 served as a ground-attack fighter into the Spanish Civil War and WWII. Running on an 880hp air-cooled BMW132 motor, the open-topped Henschel had been considered obsolete by the beginning of WWII. But its low-speed stable flying caused it to be perfect as a ground assault fighter during the German Blitzkrieg offensive. From 1941 it also served regarding Eastern front, where it gained pilots' trust because of its durability and high operating rate. The past Henschel's disappeared from the industry in summertime of 1944.
