Debuting at opening round for the 1988 Formula One period, the McLaren Honda MP4/4 dominated throughout for an unbelievable 15 wins. Although handicapped by 150L fuel limitations and paid off boot stress, the RA 168 V6 twin turbo engine demonstrated exceptional gas effectiveness and higher power production versus 3.5L naturally-aspirated machines. Chief engineer Steve Nicols designed a compact, streamlined chassis capable of using complete benefit of the effective Honda motor. The fantasy mixture of Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna took the MP4/4 to an overwhelming success within the final 12 months of turbo F1 race.
