Much better than hard-anodized shocks, Traxxas Hard-Coat shocks reduce piston/housing friction, and this really helps to prevent the temperature build-up that will cause inconsistent performance. The coating actually permeates the T-6 aluminum, which makes it numerous times more resistant to put on and corrosion.
