Towards the laset months of WWII the Ardelt/Krupp designteam concepted the le Einheitswaffentrager 8 , 8cm IFH, which according to chassis elements currently used in the Hetzer and 38 D vehicle series utilizing the aircooled V 12 Tatra Diesel engine . As just aminimum of protection had been meant, the extra weight might be limited to 15 tons to provide an increased mobility. Till end fo the war just few prototypes had been built.
