Trumpeter 02208 Shenyang FT-6 Trainer  [TP02208]

The FT-6 is a supersonic trainer in line with the F-6 fighter (Chinese version of the MiG-19). Into the 1960�s, the PLA Air Force and Navy had been built with F-6 and F-7(MiG-21) fighters. In those days the principal aircraft to train pilots was the subsonic FT-5 which was not suited to training pilots of supersonic aircraft. Because of this, the PLA Air Force asked for a trainer for this purpose as well as to perform other double chair traveling missions. The Shenyang Aircraft creating company created and developed this trainer on the basis of the model associated with F-6. It�s maiden very first test journey on November,6,1970 and had been later on handed over to your PLA Air Force for experimental test flights in January 1972. In November 1973, the trainer had been approved for manufacturing until 1986, if the last FT-6 was manufactured.
