The 15 cm s.F.H.18 Howitzer is a primary descendent of this s.F.H.13 of World War I classic. The exact same split path carriage was used in combination with a 105 mm barrel to produce the 10 cm s.K 18 Heavy Gun. Those two cannons were the principal medium artillery pieces found in German artillery battalions, each battalion being made up of 12 cannons.
