Description

The Ariete C-1 MBT is an Italian development. For service in Iraq the C-1 MBT is armed with two MG 42/59 7.62mm device weapons with protective shields besides the 120mm Rheinmetall main weapon. It has been fitted with an add-on armour package of approx. two tones. Its mounted towards hull edges along with to the sides and front for the turret as the Iraqi opponent areas not only RPG-7 anti tank propelled grenades but in addition RPG-7V with tandem hollow-charge warhead. A short-termed aim could be the creation of three operative tank regiments with Ariete C-1 each in Iraq
