53mm ECS ball-bearing drive shaft made from world-renowned HUDY Spring Steel. This race-quality drive shaft is an extra component for #305309 ECS BB (Ball-Bearing) Drive Shaft 53mm - HUDY Spring metal. The ECS BB (Ball-Bearing) driveshafts provide a substantial performance gain on the standard blade-type driveshafts. The friction between the driveshaft and the outdrive is significantly paid off, which really helps to give a much smoother handling feel, especially on quick direction changes, like chicanes. The paid off friction really helps to increase cornering speeds. The 53mm shafts are suitable for lots more open and flowing track layouts. They will offer somewhat less initial steering, but better steering in the exact middle of the part, in addition to on energy. Maintenance of those bearing driveshafts is essential, but very simple. Develop them as you would your normal ECS driveshafts, but with the next addition; we recommend utilising the Hudy Joint Grease (106213) involving the tiny bearings while the outdrives, for an extended life of parts.
